“The turntable has worked out great for us. I have a BMW 1200RT and it is tall for me, so I have trouble backing it up, especially over the threshold of our bike room door. In the past, my husband would have to push me over the threshold. The TurnABike does make it a little more difficult to get the bike on the center stand, but I am getting better, with practice. With the turntable, I am able to bring my bike into the room, spin it around, and then am ready to go when I need to get the bike out of the room by myself. Thanks,”

“The Turnabike Turntable is a wonderful tool that I use everyday. I commute to work 50 miles round trip everyday, rain or shine. It is nice to pull into my garage and with little effort turn my ST1100 around. Dropping this bike that weighs in at 657 pounds is not an option, I know by experience. So the Turnabike is a daily operation of spinning my bike around for the next trip out the door. At first I thought, how can this support that much weight? I was very tentative at first that it would work, boy has it made me a believer. It is sturdy and takes little pressure to rotate the bike 180 degrees. I recommend it to all my friends! Thanks,” – Charles Poulsbo | Washington

“My workshop project has finally gotten far enough that I’ve had a chance to move the bikes in and experiment with the Turn-a-Bike. I’ve been very impressed with how easy it is to use and especially impressed with how little effort is needed to turn the bike. I weigh about 150 and my big bike is a BMW R1100RS, which is just over 500 lbs wet. But once it’s on the Turn A Bike it takes next to no force to get both wheels up and start turning! If I was more reckless I could easily do it one-handed.” Long story short… the thing works great! Thanks,”

I “heard” about Turn A Bike on the I-BMW forum. I only just recently (May 2007) purchased my bike. It’s a 2000 BMW K1200RS, “The Mighty K” (and heavy to boot!). I have a short and steep driveway. My garage is not that big & is pretty full for me to turn the bike around in. I would have to pull the other vehicle out to make room to turn around, which still isn’t that easy. So what I have been doing is backing out and down the steep driveway and resting on the road/driveway juncture. The road is on an incline as well and I am on the wrong side of oncoming traffic. I thought it would be neat to have a turnstyle. I did some research and actually bought a large lazy susan bearing to experiment with and make one. What I did find is that the device has to be pretty skinny to not make putting it on the center-stand a scary experience. What I also found is that I don’t weigh enough (don’t want the weight to change!) to lift the front of the bike off the ground to pivot it around. When I put my weight on the rear seat grab bar the front of the bike barely comes off the front suspension. I abandoned the idea. In any case, a little while after debating my situation I saw your device mentioned on the forums. I also saw it at San Francisco BMW. Your turnstyle seems to have actually came on the market after I did my experimentation. I can spend a fair amount of time, energy & money monkeying around building my own. I just don’t have that kind of time, time better spent riding! Take Care, Good Luck & Ride Safe!”

“You were brave enough to demo your “Turn A Bike” with my LT out in the parking lot yesterday. This morning after getting home from church, I moved some stuff around in the garage…… measured out where the center stand was going to be…..laid your plate on the floor…..measured again…..moved a few more things……….pulled the bike in……dropped the center stand and powered the bike right on up (BMW K12LT)….climbed off, and with one hand, pushed down a bit on the back end of the bike, and spun her right around with a minimum of fuss. Worked like a charm. Will be putting a word out on the BMWLT.COM internet board today… Super product!! Thanks for thinking this out for us!!”

“Dear Super Friends, Today I purchased a TAB ST at the South Sound BMW vendor fair and I’m very satisfied with it. I was the owner of a BMW LT that observed as another LT owner tried his hand at getting his bike on your product. We were both impressed with your demo. As I was leaving I noted we each had bought one. I tried it at home with a slightly sloping parking pad. But unlike the other LT owner I do not have the hydraulic operated center stand. Nevertheless I easily got my bike on the TAB ST. The extra 1/4 inch helped insure that the lever arm on my center stand did not scrape the cement as I turned the bike. In your video you show a big flat driveway and two car garage with plenty of turning room inside of it. I think you under estimate the usefulness of your product in more real world situations. I live on a small piece of property in Seattle. I have a one horse carriage house built in 1917. If you put a car in it you would not have enough room left over to open the drivers door, much less turn a bike over nine feet long in it. Using your product I’m able to drive my BMW 1200 LT up to the front door, turn it around, and then back it in using the reverse gear. My site has a driveway I share with my neighbor. It consists of two narrow strips of cement with ground cover in between. Before, to leave I had to back my bike up to a muddy area adjacent to my cement 10 by 15 pad, then turn and go forward a couple of feet and stop, then repeat. It took many of these maneuvers around my trash, yard waste, and recycle cans, before I could get enough of an angle to make a go at the driveway with my 900 lb bike. The first time I tried this I dumped the bike. Now, in addition to letting me get out of my garage safely, I will later be able to skip having to re-landscape part of my yard into an auxiliary driveway. The money I spent today will be saved many times over in my next landscaping project this summer. Thanks.”
